The Labyrinth

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit;
It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit.

i’m not what others think i am
i maybe simple but i love glam
i’m not what others think to be
just because i like to be free?

i’m not what people think i am
i am silent for i really can
i’m not what they think of me
only because i want to flee.

i hope they would see who i am
i’m me of the most simplest man
i’m never selfish of what’s on hand
just don’t take what’s all i have.

time had passed without a word from you   
seasons have changed so filled with blue
never have i thought my heart would ache
like a dagger it pierces so much i can’t take!

i tried to forget all the nice things we’ve had
from simple talks… to problems at hand
you lent me a shoulder and spared an ear
to all my whining and cries you hear.

so hard i spent each days in sorrow
that somehow someday i’ll see tomorrow
your face, your eyes, your lips, your smile
to wipe and cure the hurt that i feel inside.

one day you came and uttered a sound
gladness in my heart is too profound
but then i learned you came to bid farewell
it crushed my heart …i cannot think well.

i feel the pain spearing deep inside of me
but somehow i know i have to set you free
that finding you today means losing you forever
but in your heart you know i’ll forget you never.

I guess it’s time for us to say goodbye
Since a lot of tears have fallen from my eyes, 
You know it’s not easy for me to do
And you said, "it’s hard for me too."

But I know that time will help me heal
All the wounds for now that I feel,
And eventhough that we’re through
What we had then was true.

I do believe when you first told me
In your heart I will forever be,
But somehow we just have to accept
How it all turned out, things we regret.

Remember the times we’re together
Same here, I’ll forget it never.
But I won’t lie… I won’t deny,
In my heart the love, has slowly died.
